Doranova’s Hardferm biogas plant project for Jepuan Biokaasu Oy is nearing completion. The plant concept, designed for very challenging and high-impurity feeds, received patent protection in December 2019.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, construction work on the plant has progressed on schedule.
– The project has been demanding, but Doranova’s team has achieved absolutely incredible results. Of course, the pandemic situation has increased the stress factor during the spring, but thanks to Finnish subcontractors, we have been able to keep the site running even during exceptional circumstances, says Mikko Saalasti, Doranova’s Head of Biogas Solutions.
– Our biogas plant concept has aroused a lot of interest in Finland and in the export market. Waste-to-power plant and landfill operators in particular have been interested in the benefits of the Hardferm plant, says Doranova’s CEO Antti Myllärinen.
