Contaminated soil and groundwater remediation solutions are based on project deliveries, and the acquisition strengthens Suomen Erityisjäte Oy’s overall supply of services for contaminated lands. The business will continue after the sale under the name Doranova Soil&Water and will be transferred to Suomen Erityisjäte Oy from February 1, 2023. The business acquisition follows SEJ’s strategy and gives the company the opportunity to serve customers even better and more efficiently.
In the center of the acquired business is the patented equipment of the DoAct® product family. Doranova Soil&Water business has a wide range of biological, chemical and physical methods for soil and water purification. In connection with the transaction, 4 employees will be transferred to the service of Suomen Erityisjäte Oy. Mikko Myllymäki continues as the head of Doranova Soil&Water business.

Suomen Erityisjäte Oy, established in 2004, is an expert in the processing and safe disposal of contaminated soil and materials, MSWI bottom ash and hazardous waste, as well as in the utilization of raw materials. The company’s locations can be found in Forssa, Pori, Kangasala and Lahti. Taraste Circular Economy Park, operating in Kangasala, is a subsidiary of Suomen Erityisjäte Oy.
Suomen Erityisjäte Oy is part of LHJ Group and its owners are Loimi-Hämeen Jätehuolto Oy (51%) and Kuusakoski Oy (49%). With the deal, SEJ’s turnover will rise to around €20 million, and the company’s permanent staff will increase to 32 employees.
